Building Competency in Assistive Technology

Based on Cheryl's popular ATSA Melbourne talk, this short course introduces a step-by-step, competency-based framework to guide assistive technology trials and referrals.

Using a power lift recliner chair as a case example, participants will learn how to assess client needs, select and customise devices, and improve clinical outcomes.

Ideal for clinicians and supervisors alike, the course offers practical tools to build clinician confidence, support team training, and deliver consistent, client-centred AT recommendations.
